The final of the Contest of scientific projects of schoolchildren "Ideas changing the world", organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and the Center for ability development and psychological support "Astana Daryny" of the Akimat of Nur-Sultan, was held in the Library of Elbasy.
The purpose of the Contest is to stimulate research and educational activities of students aimed at studying and implementing urgent problems of Kazakhstani society, as well as studying the level and main trends of scientific research of schoolchildren in the process of implementing the ideas and initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev. In addition, the Contest allows to identify and support the most talented and gifted young researchers.
The city contest "Ideas changing the world" among students of grades 8-10 of the capital's schools is held for the seventh year in a row as part of a long-term partnership between the Library of Elbasy and the Center for ability development and psychological support "Astana Daryny".
The current contest is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence and is held in three areas: humanitarian, polytechnic and social. Following the results of the III qualifying round, 60 scientific projects, which were presented in Russian and Kazakh, reached the final.
The main projects of the contest are dedicated to the "Tugan Zher" program. Of particular interest are the models of scientific projects: "Heat generation from a solar collector" school-lyceum No. 28, "Underwater entertainment center on the Caspian Sea" school-Lyceum No. 66, "Security system against large-scale forest fires" school for gifted children No. 9 "Zerde", "Robot for planting plants", "Central Economic School", etc.
The jury consisted of Associate Professor of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU, Candidate of Historical Sciences D. Yergaliev, Associate Professor of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU, Candidate of Historical Sciences K. Seitkazina, Associate Professor of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU, Doctor of PhD A. Zandybay, leading researcher of the Library of Elbasy Asiya Ospanova. The experts had a difficult task: to choose the winners among the authors of scientific projects that were prepared at a very high level. As a result, the prizes among the finalists were distributed as follows:

Working with the school audience is one of the priorities in the activities of the Library of Elbasy. The historical experience of the formation and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan shows that the most important means of forming a civil society, strengthening the unity and integrity of a multinational state is the patriotic education of the young generation.
