A little more than a year has passed since the day when the social project "Ideas that change the world" was launched in the Library of the Leader of the Nation. The first training seminars under this project were held on October 1, 2015.

In the current year, the staff of the Library of the Leader of the Nation "replenished with new members." The library took care of orphans - Nurlybek, Diana and Bekzat Kelisbekovs, who live with their grandmother Ryskul Utegenova.

Before the start of the school year, the Library staff helped get the children ready for school. On their own initiative, some employees helped the family with groceries.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, the Library also did not leave its patronage family without attention: its employees visited schoolchildren and their grandmother. 

The Library of the Leader of the Nation hosted a presentation of the book “Looking west. A kazakh’s view of Great Britain” – “Batys Korgen. Ulybritaniya kazaktyn kozimen”. The author is a well-known Kazakhstani journalist, a scholarship holder of the "Bolashak" program - Kanat Auesbay, dedicated his work to the 25th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan. The book is published in Kazakh and English and is literally translated as “Who has seen the West. A Kazakhstani's view of Great Britain.

Today, the Library of the Leader of the Nation hosted the awarding of the winners of the International Competition among legal scholars for the best university publication in the field of law enforcement. The event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan and the formation of the prosecutor's office of the country.

Serik Aktayev's Master Class Today, the Library of the Leader of the Nation hosted a master class of two-time world champion, Asian champion, executive director of the Togyzkumalak Sports Federation Serik Aktayev. Fifteen pupils of school No. 7 in Astana got the opportunity to learn the secrets of mastery from the eminent athlete.

Already at the very beginning of the game, the coach was surprised by the fighting spirit of the young players - the guys tried to take unusual moves, trying to impress the master.

The main theme of the event was the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan. About 30 young talents of the capital dedicated their lines to the achievements and successes of the Motherland. 

The first to speak was a student of the 5th grade No. 15 of the school in Astana, Asem Seralieva. The girl is an active participant in all school events, in the future she sees herself as a singer, and for this she is already honing her oratorical skills and diction.

On December 14, the Library of the Leader of the Nation hosted a solemn award ceremony dedicated to the quarter-century anniversary of Independence.
