PATRIOTISM BEGINS WITH LOVE FOR THE NATIVE LAND

Employees of the Service for social, humanitarian and educational projects of the Library of Elbasy held a lecture "Patriotism as a mental feature in historical retrospect" for students of the capital schools No. 80 and No. 83. The lesson was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"A special attitude to the native land, its culture, customs, traditions is the most important feature of patriotism. This is the basis of the cultural and genetic code that makes any nation a nation, and not a collection of individuals...", said Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev in his article "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity".
During the online lesson, students got acquainted with the rich historical past of our state, the heroic pages of the history of the struggle for independence, the biographies of the great khans, batyrs and heroes of the Great Patriotic War – those who can rightly be called true patriots.

The children were shown unique materials from the Personal Archive of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including photos of historical figures, the streets of the capital of Kazakhstan were named after them, these are Talgat Begeldinov, Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev, etc.

The students watched with great interest a video about the memorial complex of Karasai and Agyntai Batyrs, which was built in 1999 in the vicinity of Aiyrtau in the North Kazakhstan region. The mausoleums, which contain the ashes of the batyrs who defended their native land from foreign invaders in the XVII century under the banner of Khan Yessim, are visited annually by hundreds of people from all over the country, numerous foreign guests. Elbasy has been here twice.
