MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL OF THE ELBASY LIBRARY

Since its inception in 2017, the Academic Council of the Elbasy Library has become an effective collegial advisory body that considers issues of research, scientific and educational, scientific and methodological, expert and analytical activities.

The work of the Academic Council made it possible to institutionalize organizational, conceptual and strategic planning, expert analysis, and methodological activities.

Traditionally, research carried out within the framework of the implementation of scientific and scientific-educational programs, scientific-exposition and scientific-collection projects are discussed and approved by the members of the Academic Council.

The preparation of the scientific collection "30 years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was announced by head of the Registration and Storage Service of Museum valuables, Candidate of Historical Sciences Kulyaisha Aktaeva. The publication was prepared as part of the promotion of the museum collection of the Library of Elbasy, which has great information potential on the modern history of Kazakhstan.

– Information about the exhibits of collections of public awards, products made of precious metals and stones, numismatics, souvenirs, clothing, fine art, as well as material culture, reflecting the stages of formation and strengthening of the ideas of modern Kazakhstan statehood through the prism of the activities of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev, is introduced. The genre of the scientific collection allows integrating museum information into the source complex in preparation of scientific, analytical, educational, cultural projects, monographs and exhibitions. Each article is provided with photo illustrations, registration data of exhibits, K. Aktaeva noted.

A leading researcher of the Special Projects Service, Nazira Musina, presented a scientific collection prepared within the framework of the scientific project "The phenomenon of leadership and the political legacy of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev" of the Elbasy Library.  The publication reflects the main stages of the formation of the capital, political and social aspects of the city's development, systematizes the main initiatives of Elbasy in the creation of the capital of the republic. Documents from the personal archive of the Elbasy have been introduced into scientific circulation.

Summing up the results, Chairman of the Academic Council, Director of the Elbasy Library, candidate of political science Bakytzhan Temirbolat thanked the members of the Academic Council for their work and fruitful conversation, noting that many decisions are made during a comprehensive discussion, in an atmosphere of discussion and scientific polemics.
