OPENING OF THE STOCK EXHIBITION "THE WORLD OF TEA TRADITIONS"

May 16, 2023 at 15.00 in the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Bokeikhana St., 1a) on the eve of the International Museum Day and the International Tea Day, the opening of the stock exhibition "The World of Tea Traditions" will take place.

The exhibition will feature more than 100 very different and often unique exhibits from the Library's museum collection, which illustrate the culture of tea traditions of various peoples of the world. Almost all main types of tea utensils are represented here: sets, water vessels, samovars and other items.

The World of Tea Traditions exhibition will tell about the fine filigree of the Chinese and Japanese tea ceremony, the hospitality and unifying effect of the tea traditions of the Central Asian countries, the English tradition of “five o’clock”, and the features of the banquet tea of ​European countries.
