OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION «CULTURAL HERITAGE OF MY COUNTRY»

On October 15 this year at 15.00 in the Museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy (11 Beibitshilik str.), the opening of the exhibition "Cultural heritage of my country" will be held following the results of the international contest of the same name among children and youth of Kazakhstan and Indonesia.

The competition and the final exhibition, organized by the Library of Elbasy, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Indonesia, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia and the UNESCO Children's Art School in Nur-Sultan, are dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 76th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The main objectives of this project are to familiarize children with the culture and creativity of Kazakhstan and Indonesia, as well as to create conditions for their personal and creative fulfillment.

The contest was announced at the beginning of this June, its participants were offered to submit a picture on one of the topics: traditions of the peoples of Kazakhstan and Indonesia; legends/folklore in Kazakhstan/Indonesia; sights of Kazakhstan/Indonesia; the friendship between Kazakhstan and Indonesia; how I celebrate Independence Day in my country (Kazakhstan/Indonesia).

According to the organizers, this creative contest revealed among the young generation of the two countries the desire to understand the value of cultural diversity, the development of friendship between Indonesia and Kazakhstan as part of the human community.

About 400 participants from the two countries took part in the contest. As a result, 60 best works were selected, all of them will be featured at the exhibition. Thirty winners in three age categories will be awarded prizes and gifts.

Participants and winners of the contest from Indonesia, as well as the National Library of Indonesia in Jakarta, will take part in the event online via Zoom.

Director of the Library of Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat, ex-Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Kazakhstan Rahmat Pramono, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Indonesia Daniyar Sarekenov and Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Muhammad Syarif Bando will make congratulatory addresses.

After the end of the exhibition, all the children's works in December 2021 will be presented at the National Library of Indonesia in Jakarta.
