On August 27, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation opened two exhibitions dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk test site.
How the main law of the country was created, who took part in this historical process, exclusive opinions in unique archival documents and books - you can learn about this by visiting the exhibition "The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the legal basis of Independence".
The exposition based on documents from the personal archive of the Leader of the Nation tells about the formation of Kazakhstan as a state of law. These are speeches and correspondence of the Head of State, working materials, original drafts of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan with editorial corrections by N.A. Nazarbayev, historical exhibits, rare publications, scientific works and albums about the history of the creation of the Kazakhstan Constitution.
For the first time at the exhibition "Kazakhstan's model of a nuclear-free world" the results of a scientific exploratory expedition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site were presented to the public. Visitors will see unique archival documents about the Semipalatinsk test site, the National Nuclear Center, the consequences of tests and the Nevada-Semey social movement. Documents and photographs from the personal archive of the Leader of the Nation, stored in the Library, are also exhibited here for the first time.
Of great interest to visitors are the virtual exhibitions of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kurchatov) and the Research Institute of Radiation Medicine and Ecology of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Semey).
