PRESENTATION OF NEW EXPOSITIONS IN THE ELBASY LIBRARY

On December 12, 2018 at 17.00 in the building of the Museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, the grand opening of new permanent exhibitions "Musical Instruments of the Peoples of the World" and "Sports Glory of Kazakhstan" will take place. The opening of new expositions is timed to coincide with the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The idea of ​​creating a permanent exhibition "Musical Instruments of the Peoples of the World" appeared as a result of a positive response and great interest among residents and guests of the capital who visited the temporary exhibition of the same name in 2017, dedicated to the international specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017". The exhibition had a positive response and aroused great interest.

The basis of the collection of musical instruments are gifts presented to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev from the heads of foreign states and governments, international organizations and foundations, foreign delegations and residents of Kazakhstan. The collection of musical instruments from the Museum's collection of the Library is very diverse and includes both the simplest samples and instruments that are very complex in design and musical performance capabilities. Among them there are representatives of almost all existing types of musical instruments: wind, plucked, bowed, percussion and mechanical instruments. A total of 35 exhibits are on display.

The opening of the permanent exhibition "Sports Glory of Kazakhstan" is a continuation of a series of events within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the Library and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.So, in May of this year, the permanent exposition “Olympic Movement in Kazakhstan” was opened in the Elbasy Library.

The exposition "Sports Glory of Kazakhstan" presents: a set of gifts N.A. Nazarbayev from Kazakh and foreign athletes from the Museum Fund of the Library of Elbasy, archival documents from the Personal Archive of Elbasy, as well as personal belongings of athletes and materials provided by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Among the exhibits, visitors can see the championship belts of V. Zhirov and M. Mazimbaev, A. Vinokurov's bicycle and T-shirt, as well as a set of gifts from the biker-traveler D.I. Petrukhin.
