EXHIBITION OF DIGITAL ART OF KOREAN ARTIST LI INAM "SIGNAL OF LIGHT"

On July 9 at 4 p.m. the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy invites you to a unique event in the cultural life of the capital of Kazakhstan - the opening of an exhibition of digital art by Korean artist Lee Inam "Signal of Light".

The vernissage will take place in the futuristic space of the multifunctional hall of the Elbasy Library (Bokeikhana street, 1A) equipped with modern LED screens.

The exhibition was organized within the framework of the international exhibition project of the Elbasy Library "Dialogue through сulture" together with the Korean Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea with the assistance of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition presents the results of constant artistic searches in the field of color, form, light in space. Li Inam's digital works allow the viewer to feel inside the created space, interacting with the work through video, sound, movement.

The author of the works makes it possible to change the view of the world, to form new channels for dialogue with the history and masterpieces of the great masters who have been known to us since childhood. The master takes as a basis a different palette - video, where viewers can follow the development of media art from a magic lantern to cinematography, from optical illusions and panoramic painting to virtual reality, from avant-garde utopias to a universal work of art.

 

For reference: Lee Inam is a PhD candidate from the Graduate School of Visual Arts, Yongse University.

In 2017, he was the Goodwill Ambassador for Culture and Arts of the Korean Committee of UNESCO, in 2019 - the director of the multimedia opening ceremony of the International Symposiumon Electronic Art, in 2021 - the art director of the video part of the Art Korea Broadcasting 2020.

Personal exhibitions of Lee Inam in different years were held in the USA, Belgium, Poland, Great Britain, France and Russia.

The author has won various awards in the field of media art.
